Merrybent Hill is a stunning luxury B&B situated in a rural location outside the quaint old village of Slaidburn in the Forest of Bowland, with outstanding views to Pendle Hill and the Yorkshire Dales. A Grade II listed linear farmhouse thought to date from the late 17th or early 18th century, the house has immense character with stone mullioned windows, huge oak beams and a guest sitting room with log burning stove.
Perfectly situated for visiting the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and the Lake District National Park, Merrybent Hill is located in a peaceful rural situation just outside Slaidburn. We are only half an hour's drive from the Yorkshire 3 Peaks of Ingleborough, Penyghent and Whernside, and a mere 45 minutes drive from Kendal, gateway to the Lake District.
Our accommodation offers a stunning characterful bedroom with super-king bed, a seating area, and a luxurious contemporary bathroom with large bath and separate rain shower. We also have a double room with a fabulous separate private bathroom. There is a gorgeous guest sitting room with a comfortable settee, books, and a log burning stove.
Daily housekeeping is included and we are on site 24 hours a day for any assistance guests may require.
At breakfast time enjoy a fantastic selection of fresh fruit, cereals, danish pastries, yoghurts and juices, followed by a hot full English breakfast or other hot choices, whilst sitting in front of the log burning stove and enjoying the amazing view to the South. On sunny warm days we serve breakfast outside on the patio. We also serve freshly home cooked delicious evening suppers.
